Description

For skaters,  MACBA (Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art), also known as 'La Plaza', is one of the most famous spots to skate in Barcelona, and maybe on the world. The smooth flat, the multicultural environment and  the trade of 1€ beers are many of the factors that explain why this museum acted as a magnet for amateur and professional skaters since the early 90s.
This architectural work was built in 1991 thanks to the design of the American architect Richard Meier. They built it on Plaça dels Angels, on the Raval neighborhood that it is in the center of Barcelona. The museum was inspired by the Museum of Modern Art of New York (MOMA), but it has a lot of indistinguible features.
